The Yorkshire indie department store group Browns appointed JSA to work on the retail design of its third store, in Beverley, East Yorkshire transforming the town's former Picture Playhouse into an upmarket family-owned department store.
The faded excess of a bygone era has been stripped away transforming the two-storey 12,000 sq ft building into a light and airy destination, resplendent with the high-quality fixtures and fittings befitting a 21st-century store.
The store's interior is fresh and contemporary with personality and individuality being added through subtle approaches in materials, fixturing and merchandising. New departments include Ladies Fashion, Lingerie, Cosmetics, Shoes, Handbags and Accessories together with a 74 seater restaurant.
Browns Managing Director Nicholas Brown said "We're delighted with the results that JSA has achieved with the store design, and in addition trade is also well ahead of sales targets and expectations".
